Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S. is pleased to announce the details for the 2008 Jamie James Yamaha Champion’s Riding School (JJYCRS). In April 2008 the Jamie James Yamaha Champions Riding School will hold the first of seven riding schools at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. With Jamie James at the helm, the school will focus on riding techniques that will benefit both the street rider and the seasoned racer. Backed by Yamaha Motor Corporation, students will experience the performance and quality of the Yamaha brand by choosing to ride their own Yamaha or a school provided YZF-R1, YZF-R6 or FZ-6 motorcycle. All JJYCRS instructors are top notch, most of whom are current or previous racing champions. Riding education sessions will boast an average of seven instructors per class giving the school a student/instructor ratio of 4:1. As an added bonus, each class will feature a special guest instructor. Some of the guest instructors already committed to the 2008 schedule include Colin Edwards, Tom Kipp, Dave Sadowski and Thomas Stevens. Lasting two days, the school will teach braking techniques, correct riding form, cornering, panic control, etc., all the while inspiring safety as the most important principle. Students can choose to use their own riding apparel and safety equipment or rent leathers, boots, gloves, and helmets from the school. 2008 Jamie James Yamaha Champion’s Riding School Dates April 24 25, 2008 May 26 27, 2008 June 30 July 1, 2008 August 14 15, 2008 September 29 30, 2008 October 9 10, 2008 November 20 21, 2008 Students can soon enroll and pay for the school session of their choice online.
