Jason Farrell Catches Fire to Score Pirelli’s Sixth and Seventh Track Bounties of the 2016 Racing Season
ROME, Ga. (October 10, 2016) – Today, Pirelli announced that Farrell Performance Kawasaki rider Jason Farrell claimed the Italian manufacturers sixth and seventh track bounties of the season aboard his Kawasaki ZX-10R. The successful month of racing began on September 4th at Gingerman Raceway where he set the absolute track record during the Championship Cup Series (CCS) Unlimited GP race. At the following CCS round, Farrell once again demonstrated Pirelli’s capabilities to produce the best motorcycle racing tires on the market by using the Unlimited Superbike race to set the motorcycle track record at Blackhawk Farms Raceway.
“Jason is on a great run and heading to the Daytona Race of Champions CCS/ASRA finals this week with a lot of momentum,” said Jeff Johnston, Pirelli Road Race Manager, NAFTA. “He gets around the big “D” very well and has had many race wins over the last few years. Congratulations to the entire Farrell Performance Kawasaki team.”
Farrell’s ZX10-R was equipped with Pirelli’s DIABLO Superbike SC2 front and SC0 rear tire combination while claiming the sixth bounty at Gingerman Raceway. The new record of 1:27.863 smashed last year’s record of 1:31.074 set by Pirelli rider Tommy Girard. For Pirelli’s seventh bounty at Blackhawk Farms, the same front and rear tire combination was used and the new track record was lowered to 1:07.084.
