Jeff Wood, Londono, Mendez Win CCS Races At Homestead-Miami Speedway

Jeff Wood won the Unlimited Grand Prix race during the CCS Florida season opening event at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The race got off to a rocky start with one red flag during the warm-up lap and another red flag during the first lap of the restart.

On the second restart of the race, Wood nailed the holeshot, headed into Turn One and never looked back. He led the race from start to finish with Sean Dwyer close behind for all six laps. Wood started the day victoriously with his first win in the GTO race.

Andres Londono was biggest winner of the weekend with six first-place finishes. Londono won the GTU, Middleweight Supersport, Heavyweight Supersport, Middleweight Superbike and Middleweight Grand Prix classes.

The other big winner of the weekend was Kevin Mendez, who swept the lightweight classes and took home four first-place trophies. Mendez won the GT Lights, Lightweight Grand Prix, Lightweight Formula 40 and Lightweight Superbike races.
