Jensen Takes F-USA Formula Sportbike Pole Position Sunday Morning At Barber

Kneedraggers.com’s Robert Jensen claimed pole position for the Formula USA Formula Sportbike (750cc) final during qualifying Sunday morning at Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, Alabama. Jensen’s time of 1:28.529, set on a Michelin-equipped Suzuki GSX-R750, smashed the old Formula Sportbike qualifying record of 1:29.694, set by Steve Rapp in 2004. Arclight Suzuki’s Jeff Wood, Argo Cycle’s Jesse Janisch and Roadracingworld.com’s Chris Ulrich also qualified on the front row for the 18-lap event. F-USA Formula Sportbike qualifying was postponed from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning due to Saturday’s schedule running late and approaching severe weather.
