GBmoto Racing is pleased to announce that JG Speedfit, the world leaders in push-fit fittings, will remain as title sponsors for a second term as the team bid to secure their first MCE British Superbike Championship title in 2016.

An incredibly successful debut year saw the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team secure victory in their very first race, going on to win a further two races and take seven additional podium finishes as well as a coveted position in the MCE British Superbike Championship Showdown.

With the JG Speedfit squad becoming the official factory supported Kawasaki team in the British Superbike Championship for 2016, coupled with an all-new ZX-10R Ninja, the team are confident of being able to challenge for the title. Underlining their intent on securing the 2016 crown, rider James Ellison and his as yet unannounced team mate will join the official World Superbike Kawasaki Racing Team next week for a two day test at Aragon, followed by a further two days at Jerez on the 23rd and 24th of November.

Although no strangers to motorsport, 2015 was JG Speefit’s first foray as title sponsors in the Superbike class. Bringing over 800 guests across the twelve rounds, the British Superbike Championship allows the company to showcase their products, entertain customers and bring the excitement of motorcycle racing to their sales campaigns – including running a highly popular competition to win a replica ZX-10R.

Headquartered in West Drayton, JG Speedfit enjoys a truly global presence with offices in Asia, Europe, North America and the Pacific. Leaders in the field of push-in fittings, as well as Plastic Plumbing Systems and Underfloor Heating their products are used in a variety of industries and applications, including Drinks Dispensers, Plumbing, Pneumatics, Compressed Air Systems, Water Purification and even Automotive and Telecommunications.

Looking forward to remaining with the team for a second term, Mike Riseley, UK Director of Sales at JG Speedfit commented, “Our opening season with the GBmoto team has been incredibly positive and everyone at JG Speedfit is excited to be remaining as title sponsors for 2016. It has been a very successful partnership for both parties and with the possibility of additional years after this, I’m confident that the JG Speedfit Kawasaki team will continue to go from strength to strength.

If it wasn’t for James Ellison’s unfortunate injuries this year, I genuinely believe we could have been challenging for the title to the very end. With a brand new bike, improved support from Kawasaki and the professionalism of the entire GBmoto team I’m sure that the 2016 BSB title is within reach.

Outside of the exciting action, sponsoring a team like this allows us to maximise our marketing. It provides us with an opportunity to create lots of goodwill and enjoyment throughout the year, as well as help strengthen our business relations away from a traditional meeting room!

GBmoto Racing Team Principal Mark Smith-Halvorsen added, “Becoming the factory supported Kawasaki team for 2016 means GBmoto will be taking a significant step forward again, and I’m really pleased that we’ll be doing that with JG Speedfit. We had an almost faultless start this year, taking three of four race wins, pole position and a new lap record. Unfortunately through no fault of his own, James Ellison was plagued by injury and we were not able to see just what the team could do.

I know that for 2016 we’ll not only challenge for the title, but continue the strong partnership with JG Speedfit. They share the same passion, dedication and drive that we have and the twelve BSB rounds provide a fantastic opportunity for them to entertain customers, suppliers and staff.”
