Mark Rhoades, Jody Barry to contest MotoAmerica Supersport in 2017 on board Farrell Performance Kawasaki ZX-6R’s

Barry joins Rhoades Racing

Rhoades Racing is teaming up with Farrell Performance and Jody Barry to contest the 2017 MotoAmerica AMA/FIM North American Motorcycle Road Racing Championship season in the Supersport class. Mark Rhoades and Jody Barry will both be competing on board Kawasaki ZX-6R’s, bringing some green to the grid, with Jason Farrell as the team’s Crew Chief.

“2017 is going to be great,” Farrell exclaimed. “We have a great group of dedicated members on this team. Everyone is full of determination and drive to do well. MotoAmerica is a growing series and I look forward to being the crew chief for the Rhoades Racing/Farrell Performance race team.”

Of the collaboration, Rhoades stated, “We are excited to have Jody on board for this season, Jason and I will be working hard to see Jody and the team succeed.” And, Barry simply stated, “I am extremely stoked for the 2017 season!”

The team is launching a Dark Horse Pros crowdfunding campaign in order to give fans an opportunity to be directly involved with the team’s racing efforts. The rewards range from team fan packages, virtual coaching from Jody, Mark, or Jason, suspension set up by Jason, joining the team for an event, and even one of the team’s Kawasaki ZX-6R race bikes.

Rhoades believes that being able to give back to the racing community is a unique aspect of the campaign. The team is reaching out for support from the Midwest and the national racing community. “Moto America needs more teams in the paddock,” stated Farrell. ‘”And I know with the help of our supporters we will be able to put together our first full season.”

To honor the memory of Mark Rhoades Sr., the Rhoades Racing/Farrell Performance team has pledged to donate 3% of their total campaign goal earned to Hope for the Day. Hope For The Day (HFTD) focuses on suicide prevention and mental health education through self expression platforms to achieve outreach, education, and prevention. It’s ok not to be ok, have hope. http://www.hftd.org/
