Successful tests for Kawasaki Racing Teams The official Kawasaki racing teams from all around Europe converged on the famous Ricardo Torno Circuit in Valencia this week in preparation for their next championship races. The teams and riders enjoyed two days of testing under perfect conditions. Temperature averaging 22 degrees each day and consistent track surface temperatures meant that the riders could enjoy a non-stop riding schedule. The Italian World Superbike satellite Kawasaki team of Pedercini were the first to confirm the benefits of the Kawasaki test. Team Manager Lucio Pedercini was positive as always: “This is our best opportunity to test so far this season. Our riders are very fast here today so we are confident for some success at next weekends’ WSBK race here.” Josep Sastre from the Kawasaki Motors Spain branch was also happy to be overseeing the progress made by his official teams, Palmeto Racing and the Basoli Team. “This opportunity brings us closer together with the official teams who have been testing already since last year and so being able to share some technical information with them. This really is an invaluable way to save us both time and money with our own tests in the run-up to the first Spanish Championships!” Advice from Kawasaki technical staff was being ulitised wherever possible and thoughtfully analyzed by those who could gain from it. Günther Sendlhofer from Kawasaki Austria Moto Team added: “I’m racing for the Austrian Championship again this year and we’ve learnt some things today that will help us achieve that goal. The timing of this test is very good for us and for sure we use it to our benefit. This year we want to win the Austrian championship for Kawasaki!” The Swiss Endurance team of Bolliger were equally as happy to take advantage of the fine circuit and track time and to report two trouble free days of constant riding in preparation for their first Endurance race in just a few weeks time. As always in the highest level of competition, the search for the perfect race setup continues but for now the Kawasaki teams leave the sun blessed Spanish circuit with some more knowledge about their motorcycles setups and much more track time under their belts, ready to use it to the maximum advantage in their next very important championship races. Kawasaki would like to wish all of their teams a fortunate and successful season!
