As the racing season gets ready to warm up, so too will the tyres of many Kawasaki-supported national race teams as Kawasaki stages a two-day test in Valencia, Spain, later this week. As the domestic championships approach their first rounds, the Kawasaki riders, technicians and their crews will converge upon the famous GP track of Cheste, Valencia to put their Ninja ZX-10R’s and Ninja ZX-6R race machines through their paces against similar specification team bikes from all around Europe. The aim is to fine tune the bikes in preparation for each team’s early championship races. The 2 test days will be Wednesday and Thursday this week. Kawasaki teams from Italy, UK, Spain, Switzerland and Austria will join up with the two official Kawasaki-backed World Championship racing teams: the Kawasaki World Superbike Team and the Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com World Supersport team. These teams will also be there to gain every advantage possible prior to the WSBK series returning to Europe at the beginning of April. Team co-ordinators from both official teams along with technical staff from Kawasaki Motors Europe will also be available to help and to give the local Kawasaki teams information on their preferred set-ups, to gain that critical competitive edge at an early stage of the season. All this just adds to the feeling that when you ride for Kawasaki you become a member of one big team. Of course all eyes will be on local Spanish star Joan Lascorz as he circulates the Valencia circuit at his race wining pace on the all-new Ninja ZX-6R in preparation for his return to the circuit in April for round 3 of the World Supersport series. Kawasaki would like to wish the teams and all of their hardcore racers throughout Europe a successful season!
