For three days the Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com team evaluated new developments at Almeria, Spain, making real progress in terms of set-up and testing new material. The team worked through the latest suspension developments and advances in its electronics package once again, from 16 to 18 December. In the pit garage the Provec Motocard.com squad has changed its way of working to improve its consistency of overall performance on race weekends. Joan Lascorz ended up with a slightly faster lap time than Katsuaki Fujiwara but the team were particularly encouraged by the improving pace of Katsuaki, and look forward to a strong joint effort come the start of the 2010 season. Joan’s best time of the Almeria tests was 1’37.45 with ‘Kats’ just behind, on 1’37.92. Joan Lascorz: “We tested some new things with the suspension and we continued working on our electronic systems. Had we experienced better weather then I think we could have gone faster still. Let’s see if during the next test, on the 16 and 17 of January, we can have better weather and go quicker again.” Katsuaki Fujiwara: “Step by step I’m getting better. We tested many things on the suspension and learned to work with the new people in the team who deal with suspension and telemetry. I’m happy and very excited to continue working at our next tests in January.”
