Official Supersport Team Tests At Calafat The Kawasaki Provec Motocard.com team completed its last European test of the 2010 pre-season on February 8th, lapping the Calafat race circuit in Spain for a short time before rain stopped play. The planned two-day test was cut to a single day for logistical reasons as well, with all the team’s equipment set to be boxed up and flown to Australia on Thursday 11th, in readiness for the first race of the year at the end of February. An official Infront Motor Sports test, on 21 and 22 February, takes place at the Phillip Island circuit, shortly before the race itself on Sunday 28th. Katsuaki Fujiwara: “It was good to get even a little more track time before we go to Australia for the final test, and then the race. I tried a few new things on the front suspension at Calafat and a new seating position, and we made improvements. It would have been good to get a bit more track time, but we cannot control the weather!” Joan Lascorz: “We tested new riding position on the bike in order to make it easier to move around, and it worked out quite well. Like Kats, I would have liked more time on track but we have two full days of testing waiting for us at Phillip Island before the race. We will have time to find our best settings before qualifying starts. The season starts soon but I think we are in very good shape.”
