World 500cc Motorcycle Grand Prix Champion Kevin Schwantz was re-united with his 1993 World Championship-winning Suzuki RGV500 at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed in West Sussex in the UK today. Schwantz took to the saddle of his iconic #34 Lucky Strike Suzuki along with past and present stars of motorcycle and motor racing at the three-day event that attracted an attendance upwards of 150,000. The 48 year old also met-up with Suzuki’s long-standing Grand Prix Team Manager Garry Taylor before he jets-off to Japan at the end of the month to ride in the World Endurance Championship second round alongside Yukio Kagayama and Noriyuki Haga aboard a GSX-R1000. Schwantz and ‘Team Kagayama’ enter the 2013 Coca-Cola Zero Suzuka 8 Hours on July 28th – the biggest and most-prestigious motorcycle race on Japan’s motorcycle racing calendar – as one of three major Suzuki contenders for the race victory alongside the Yoshimura Suzuki Racing Team and also reigning World Champions, the Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT).
