KEVIN SCHWANTZ TO FEATURE AT POLE POSITION TRAVEL TEXAS MOTOGP GALA DINNER Pole Position Travel is delighted to announce that for our opening dinner at the inaugural Texas MotoGP we will be featuring American MotoGP Legend Kevin Schwantz. Kevin is one of the most successful of American motorcycle racers of all time, winning the 500c World Championship in 1993, and upon his retirement in 1995 being the first rider in the history of the sport to have his signature racing number 34 retired from competition by the FIM. In 1999 he was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame and in 2000 the FIM named him a MotoGP Legend. He was instrumental in the development of the Circuit of the Americas and bringing the MotoGP to Texas. Kevin will talk about his career and his continued passion for motorcycling, followed by a question and answer period and an opportunity for photographs & autographs. Following dinner and Kevin’s talk, there will be a brief auction of unique merchandise and experiences; all proceeds from such will go to the charity Riders for Health. We are also delighted to be supported by Next Moto Champion – encouraging young American racers. Pole Position Travel is the world – leading specialist in tours to MotoGP events, sponsoring a number of riders in the GP paddock. All their events are characterised by an opening dinner with key speakers from the sport including mechanics, journalists, riders and stars such as Colin Edwards, Jeremy Burgess, Cal Crutchlow, Troy Bayliss and many others. The event takes place Friday 19/April from 19:00 in central Austin. All Pole Position Travel package customers are invited and there are a very limited number of places for others.
