DENVER, Colo. (June 11, 2012) – M1 PowerSports is excited to announce a new partnership with K&N Engineering that names K&N Air Filters as the Official Air & Oil Filter Supplier for the 2012 Triumph Big Kahuna Triple Crown. After one of AMA Pro Road Racing’s most exciting event weekends in recent memory, April’s Triumph Big Kahuna Atlanta at Road Atlanta, M1 PowerSports and K&N Engineering are looking forward to working together towards the common goal of engaging fans at two new events in major metropolitan markets. “K&N prides itself in supporting the highest quality of racing and racers in all forms of motorsports. Supporting and getting involved with these race venues showcases the talents of today’s top racers. It is events like these that drive us to continue to build and market the products we have produced for the past 40 years. K&N’s involvement in the 2012 Big Kahuna Triple Crown Superbike events are no different,” states Johnny Jump, Brand Manager, K&N Engineering. “We are very excited to support racing at this level that will drive fans to these events and hopefully continue to grow this sport for the future of racing.” The Triumph Big Kahuna Miami will set fire to the South Beach scene September 21 – 23, 2012 when M1 PowerSports and AMA Pro Road Racing roll into Homestead-Miami Speedway for the first time since the 1996 season. Following that, the season will come to a close at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, La. during the weekend of October 5 – 7, 2012. Representatives from M1 PowerSports are already working the local markets in both Miami and New Orleans, so fans in the area should begin looking out for special event promotions tailored specifically for them. The first such initiative is scheduled for later this month, when M1 PowerSports and AMA Pro Road Racing head to NOLA Motorsports Park for the first official test at the brand-new facility. The two-day event, which will be open to members of the media as well as the general public, is scheduled for June 26 – 27, 2012 and will feature a host of activities in addition to two-wheeled action from the top AMA Pro Road Racing riders. “When you think of air filters, you think of K&N,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “I’ve been using their products in my motorcycles and vehicles for many years, so for M1 to partner with a company that has such a great name and a great product is very exciting. They have the highest standards for quality and, just like M1 PowerSports, they strive to be the best in their industry. This great partnership will work hand-in-hand with our mission of Getting People to the Track.” For tickets and information about the Big Kahuna Miami, scheduled for September 21 – 23, 2012 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, Fla., visit ~http://www.m1powersports.com/big-kahuna-miami/~.
