ESP to race Miller with Taylor Knapp, allowing Jake Holden to pursue a unique opportunity. While we are sad to see Jake go, we absolutely do not want to ever hold a rider back in their career. Jake has been a pleasure to work with, and we will continue to work with Jake at a local level, with XCEL track days, the Jake Holden Riders Clinics and possibly even some regional club races, if schedules permit. We are happy to see Jake continue on in the BMW family and thank him for his time and expertise. Evan Steel: “I really want to thank Jake for working with us. I have learned some things, and I think we have improved our bike overall with his help. I look forward to continuing to work with Jake at a local level. It is a lot of fun and good for our shop as well as for his riding instruction clinics. He has a pretty exciting opportunity at the moment, and we encourage and support him in going for it. You only live once! “That said, it has worked out really well for our team also, as Taylor Knapp was available to ride our S1000RR at the Miller AMA round, which we really did not want to miss. So huge thanks to Taylor for coming back to the states on short notice to help us out, and I am looking forward to the races this weekend.” Jake Holden: “I want to thank the whole ESP crew. Those guys have been great, and while we didn’t quite get the results I hoped for, we were very competitive lap time-wise and I know that with a little more time and financial resources we would continue to improve. However, I have a big opportunity available, and I just can’t pass it up. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and the team this season so far, and I can’t wait for Miller this weekend!” Taylor Knapp: “I’m really looking forward to this weekend at Miller Motorsports Park. I’m glad to be back in the AMA paddock once again and equally excited about getting the chance to ride the BMW S1000RR. I cant wait to work with the ESP team, and I would like to thank Evan Steel and Phil Allison for the opportunity.” The entire EvanSteelPerformance.com BMW team would like to thank all of our awesome sponsors: Iron Horse Motorcycles, U.S.MegaMax.com, Intawishin Consulting Group, Mussleman Honda, Thermosman Suspension, Carrozzerria USA, Leo Vince, Dunlop, XCEL Trackdays, GPR, Ballistik Apparel, Driven, Ohlins, GB Racing, Sidi, Samco, Kurvey Girl, Shoei, OTL Magazine, Mussleman Honda Circuit, Supernova Cycles, ASMA, Speedcell, Tucson Pool and Spa, Mid Town Bar and Grill, Hotbodies, Chicken Hawk, and War Paint.
