Dominant Win for Kawasaki and Dan Kruger with Karl Roe at Zhuhai 3 Hour Endurance Season Finale-Lap Record for Kruger

Kawasaki’s Dan Kruger and Karl Roe teamed up and took a convincing win at the season finale 3 Hour endurance race December 14 at the Zhuhai International Circuit, in Zhuhai, China. Not only did they take the overall win but Kruger powered his Kawasaki ZX10 to a lap record towards the end of the race with a 1:36.6 which left everyone wondering what he has in-store for the 2015 China Superbike Championship. “What a great way to end an epic season. The team did an amazing job with the pit stops, my team mate Karl Roe did what he always does, rode consistent, kept it steady and we couldn’t have won without him” said Kruger. Still recovering from a July Suzuka injury, Kruger was fresh off his Macau GP debut and heads into the off-season on a high note.

The team was fined and penalized for a refuelling stop when one of the pit crew failed to have fire retardant gear on. Kruger had a ride through penalty but that only motivated him further and that same stint saw him break the ZIC circuit record for Superbike on the 79th lap with an impressive 1:3665 lap time. “My Kawasaki was on rails. As usual, Pirelli came through and we used an SC2 front and SC1 rear each stint. I can’t wait for the 2015 season and chase down my own lap record” Kruger adds.

Another Kawasaki ZX-10R finished 2nd overall and a lap down. Kawasaki as a brand is quickly becoming the brand of choice in China with nearly 25% of a typical grid being on the mean green machines.

This year’s race had a few incidents but with no serious injuries reported, it was a great way for all the teams to end the season on a high note.

Kruger now has about a month before an early 2015 test in China. No riding planned for February and then the season starts up again in March. 2015 will be a busy year for Dan with his schedule and plans to be announced shortly.

Dan and the team would like to thank all their sponsors for a successful 2014 race season. Titanic Kawasaki, Motul, Pirelli Spidi, Vemar, RK, Oz, Hindle, Mototron, UPG, SBS, K-Tech, Nature Power, Mr. Pizza, and a special thanks to Matt, BG, Sammo, and KC for the Endurance race.
