KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team Signs Chris Fillmore for 2013 Season MURRIETA, Calif. The KTM/HMC Factory Superbike Racing Team is excited to announce the signing of rider Chris Fillmore for the 2013 AMA Pro SuperBike Racing season. Fillmore began his relationship with KTM in 2008 as a member of the HMC/KTM Factory Supermoto Team where he finished 2nd overall in the AMA Pro Supermoto Championship. In the same year he also competed aboard KTM’s 990 Super Duke model at select events. In 2011, he joined with HMC Racing, LLC and KTM North America, Inc. to launch its Superbike racing effort aboard the KTM 1190 RC8 R Race Spec motorcycle. The team competed in three events during the 2011 season with Fillmore placing as high as 7th position on the new model. For the 2012 season, KTM announced that the KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team would embark on its first full season in the AMA Pro SuperBike Racing Series with Fillmore and teammate Stefan Nebel. Now almost a full-season later, Fillmore has exceeded expectations and earned a career best 5th place finish aboard the KTM RC8 R Race Spec machine at Infineon along with a number of top ten finishes. KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team Manager Mitch Hansen mentioned, “We are thrilled with the growth we have seen in Chris and in our RC8R over the past few months. Each race we have made huge improvements and we know we are not far from the podium. Chris has been the perfect rider for the RC8R from its inception and we believe he is the right person moving forward. We are very proud of his racing efforts and excited to have his commitment to the team for the 2013 season.” Fillmore is equally excited to remain with the orange crew for another season, commenting, “I have been involved with KTM for many seasons now and it really feels like family to me. The team and I work great together and our progress over the last year alone has been history-making for the team. It is rewarding to work on the launch of a new product into the racing scene and I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue to race as a member of the KTM/HMC Superbike Racing Team.”
