Charleston, SC March, 2011 KWS Motorsports along with long-term racing partners Millennium Technologies and Ballistic Performance Components are proud to announce the sponsorship of Luie Zendejas, Jake Lewis, and Tim Hunt in the WERA National Series for 2011. All three riders will be competing for wins and championships on KWS Motorsports-built and maintained motorcycles and KWS Motorsports will be at the track for every WERA National event to support their customers and sponsored riders. Luie Zendejas will be competing on a KWS Motorsports-built 2011 BMW S1000RR sponsored by BMW Motorcycles of Riverside. Zendejas is a second year expert and an active duty solider in the US Army with several expert wins in 2010. Luie is looking to step up to the next level in 2011 by running the entire WERA National series in the WERA Superbike and 1000 Superstock classes. “KWS Motorsports has already developed a line of engine parts for the ultra-powerful BMW S1000RR” said KWS Owner Kevin Hunt. “Running Luie’s program this year will help us develop the BMW as a complete race bike.” Fifteen-year old Jake Lewis will be competing in his first full season in the WERA National Series on a KWS Motorsports-built, Earl’s Racing Team, 2011 Yamaha R6. Earl’s Racing Team is sponsored by The Hayden Brothers General Store, Apex Manufacturing, Sportbike Track Time and Roclun Int. Lewis will be primarily competing in the hotly contested 600 Superstock class that has developed into a hotbed of up and coming talent. Jake has several wins and championships on 125GP and Moriwaki equipment, but this is his first full year on a 600cc bike. “KWS and Millennium Technologies have history of supporting up and coming talent like Blake Young and Danny Eslick” said KWS manager Chip Spalding. “Jake has the same level of talent as those guys at this level and has a very bright future. We are very proud to be a part of it.” Tim Hunt is the veteran in this group with 114 wins and 86 podium finishes in WERA competition. Hunt will be racing a Dunlop shod, KWS Motorsports built, 2011 GSX-R1000 in WERA Superbike and 1000 Superstock for Apex Road Racing. Apex Road Racing is supported by Millennium Technologies and is a development team for Race Tech Suspension. “We expect wins out of Tim straight away” said Spalding. “Tim is going to be a major threat in 2011 and we are very excited to be a part of his program.” Luie Zendejas “I cannot express in words how excited I am about the 2011 season. I was only able to race a partial season last year because I was deployed to Afghanistan, but this year I will be able to dedicate my full focus to the entire WERA National Series. The BMW Motorcycles of Riverside S1000RR that KWS built is an absolute rocket ship and I am very excited about developing it with KWS’s Michael Godin. I have great technical support from KWS Motorsports and Ohlins USA, and I cannot say thank you enough to BMW Motorcycles of Riverside, Millennium Technologies and the rest of my awesome sponsors for all of their help.” Jake Lewis “This is my first year on a 600cc race bike in the WERA National Series and I am very fortunate to have great support from Earl’s Racing Team, Millennium Technologies, Sport Bike Track Time, and Roclun Int. Up until this point in my career, I have only had stock bikes, but this KWS Motorsport built Yamaha R6 with Race Tech suspension is awesome and I can’t wait for the first round at Roebling Road!” Tim Hunt “Through out my career I have never had the best equipment, but this 2011 GSX-R1000 that KWS Motorsports has built is incredible. With suspension support from Race Tech, Dunlop tires, and a KWS-built race bike I think we are going to be a factor all year long. I really want to thank Millennium Technologies for their support this year and Michael Godin at KWS for building the bike and his support at the race track.” Chip Spalding (KWS Motorsports) “Along with Tim, Jake, and Luie we are also continuing our support of Scott Carpenter, Trey Yonce, and Kenny Rodriguez in various WERA regional series. We are a racing company at heart and, along with our partners at Millennium Technologies and Ballistic Performance Components we are very happy to support all of these talented racers in WERA in 2011.” KWS Motorsports (www.kwsmotorsports.com) is proudly sponsored by: Millennium Technologies, Ballistic Performance Components, Pit Bull, LeoVince Exhaust, Motion Pro, Bazzaz Performance, Yoyodyne, Worldwide Bearing, K&N Filters, Zero Gravity Windscreens, Spider Grips, and Motul Lubricants.
