BATAVIA, NY (March 5th, 2011) – Kyle Wyman will return to Daytona International Speedway for the first time since his injury in October 2009 for competition in the AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 series. He will ride the #33 Bruce Rossmeyer’s Daytona Racing/Revolution Performance machine in the Daytona debut for the class. In 2009 during the AMA Pro Supersport Shootout, Kyle lost his brakes in the infield of the speedway and suffered a tib/fib spiral fracture requiring a total of five surgeries, with a rod and nine screws inserted into the knee and lower leg. “Last winter was a long one for me, recovering from the broken leg,” said Kyle, “This past winter was the best yet though. It was my first opportunity in a few years to have a 100% healthy offseason where I could train and be prepared in time for Daytona. It’s a little weird going back there after such a freak accident, but being mentally and physically more prepared than ever I can’t wait to get back out there.” Kyle would also like to announce the signing of Sidi Boots for the 2011 season. “With the rod in my tibia it’s more important than ever to make sure it’s protected,” said the New Yorker, “Re-breaking something like that would be a complete mess, and with Sidi Boots I’m confident in my safety and that’s my top priority. They will keep all the hardware where it needs to be and take one more thing off my mind so I can concentrate on my riding. With Sidi, Arai Helmets, Pilot Leathers and Held USA gloves I feel as though I have the best protection package out there!” Keep up with Kyle on his AMA Pro Racing blog here: ~http://amaproracing.com/rr/blogs/post.cfm?cid=40752~ Kyle would like to extend gratitude to his other sponsors as well: Richie Morris Racing, Geico Powersports, Lucas Oil, Motion Pro, KICKER Performance Audio, EBC Brakes, Webster Dental Group
