Lampe Wins CCS Florida Shootout Thriller! Palm Beach International Raceway, Sunday, July 22, 2012 The race event began with perfect weather. However, after race 11 of the 20-race program, the storm clouds moved in and the rain came down. The remaining races were declared wet and rain tires were in order. In the main event, Unlimited GP Shootout Sean Dwyer grabbed the lead but was soon overtaken by Jeff Lampe. On lap two, Jacquel Gonzalez passed Lampe and held on to a slight lead. On the last lap, Lampe drafted past the Venezuelan rider Gonzalez on the back straight and barely held on through the final two turns to take the win. RESULTS: 1. Jeff Lampe (Kaw ZX-10R) 2.
