Laroy Montgomery, R.I.P.

Former racer Laroy Montgomery, 52, died Saturday morning February 16 in a hospital in the Indianapolis area. Montgomery flew from the Los Angeles area to Indianapolis for the Indy Dealer Show, held February 15th through 18th and was transported and admitted into a hospital with respiratory problems after checking into an area hotel Friday. Montgomery, originally from Garland, Texas, was contracted to Graves Motorsports in November 2004 to build and set-up an in-house exhaust system production facility, and continued to work on a contract basis for the Van Nuys, California-based company.
