Restructuring Sets Future Course for Miller Performance Separate units formed to focus on facility, schools and special events TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH — An organizational plan for the future of motorsports activities within Miller Sports Properties has been announced, resulting in the creation of a new division to deliver fun, unique and educational experiences to the public and industry. Miller Performance has been formed to oversee four operational units: Miller Motorsports Park, the Ford Racing School, the Yamaha Champions Riding School and the newly-created Oneiro, an event management company. This exciting new plan parallels recent changes in structure at the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies. “The refocusing of our motorsports on track facilities, racing and riding schools, and customized events allows us to best serve our customers with high-quality experiences and sets the table for strong business growth,” said Steve Miller, chief operating officer of Miller Sports Properties which also includes the Utah Jazz, Salt Lake Bees, Tour of Utah, EnergySolutions Arena, KJZZ TV, The Zone Radio Sports Network and All-Star Catering. John Larson, general manager of Miller Performance, said, “The creation of Miller Performance will not only help us to maximize the resources we have at Miller Motorsports Park, but it also allows us to expand our horizons to conduct schools and corporate events at offsite locations. “We’re particularly excited about the creation of Oneiro,” he continued. “Based on the experience we have garnered since the track’s opening in 2006, along with the combined expertise of our staff, Oneiro is able to offer a comprehensive portfolio of services to assist our clients in their event-management needs.” Services offered by Oneiro include everything from product launches, product testing, race series management and facility management to various forms of driver training and certification. Miller Motorsports Park contains a state-of-the-art road racing track, a world-class karting facility, three separate off-road courses and a new national-level motocross course. The facility is home to the Ford Racing School, Yamaha Champions Riding School, Boss Track Attack, Ford Racing F-150 SVT Raptor Assault, a Teen Driving School and a Highway Safety School. The 511-acre campus includes an amazing museum and outstanding meeting facilities, with amenities and customer service that guests have come to expect from venues throughout Miller Sports Properties. With the advent of the Ford Racing School and Yamaha Champions Riding School, Miller Motorsports Park expanded its exposure and customer base to a national level. Demand for Yamaha Champions Riding School classes has been so great that the school has had to book track time at offsite facilities to accommodate the demand. In addition, recent years have seen a large upswing in demand for manufacturer and corporate events. Miller Motorsports Park has gained a stellar reputation creating customized events for such clients as Ford Motor Company, BFGoodrich, Michelin, Nitto Tires, Navistar and many more.
