Lee Acree to replace injured John Haner on the Millennium/KWS Suzuki Lee Acree will temporally replace the injured John Haner at Infineon Raceway on the Millennium/KWS Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike sponsored by Ron Ayers Motorsports. “When we received the news of John’s injury, the first person we thought of was Lee Acree,” said team owner Kevin Hunt. Acree rode the Millennium/KWS Suzuki GSX-R1000 in 2005 and finished the year 10th in Superbike points. Millennium/KWS Suzuki’s regular rider, John Haner, injured his shoulder at Barber Motorsports Park April 23rd in the AMA Superstock race. John was examined by Dr. Ting in San Jose, California and it was determined that he had suffered two ruptured tendons and a torn rotator cup. John had surgery on Monday May 1st to repair the damage and is resting at his home in Pearland, TX. John will be out of action for 5 12 weeks, but is hoping for a quick recovery. Lee Acree is currently riding for the Vesrah Suzuki WERA Endurance team. Fortunately there is not a scheduling conflict and Vesrah Suzuki was gracious enough to help another Pirelli-sponsored Suzuki team. “We are obviously unhappy that John was injured and we can’t wait to have him back,” said team owner Kevin Hunt. “John Haner is a team player and when he showed up at Fontana in pain to support the team it really showed what kind of person he is. Lee is one of the best riders in the country and we are very happy to have him back on the bike even if it is only temporary.”
