Lone Star Track Days (LSTD) held the inaugural session of Shea Fouchek’s #39 Race School at its first event of 2012 on Saturday, March 3 at The Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas. Shea Fouchek’s #39 Race School will be offered at all LSTD events in addition to the comprehensive riding schools currently offered for both beginner and advanced track day riders. This school ties in with the LSTD’s partnership with the Central Motorcycle Roadracing Association (CMRA), as LSTD has been offering the CMRA New Rider’s School to allow participants with track experience be eligible to receive a CMRA racing license upon it’s successful completion. Shea Fouchek’s #39 Race School is for racers or riders that want to improve their skills and take it to the next level. Shea Fouchek, former M4 Suzuki, Safety First Racing, and Erion Racing AMA racer, and current instructor at the Texas Tornado Boot Camp with Colin Edwards, has come aboard and joined the LSTD family to provide instruction. For a small class fee plus regular track day registration fee, you can take part in Shea Fouchek’s #39 Race School! Classes are limited to only 10 students per event and will include video critique as well as classroom instruction from Shea. Skills and drills will be progressive throughout the day starting from the morning session and culminating at the end of the day with fast laps to gauge your progress! Steve “MacMan” McNamara, owner/operator LSTD, had this to say, “For eleven years we’ve wanted to have a racers school, but I couldn’t find a suitable racer that could be as effective off the bike as well on the bike. I was also looking for someone who epitomizes what we are trying to teach and accomplish with our track day organization. We had a relationship with Shea when he first started racing, and actively sponsored him throughout his early career. When he came back to racing this year, that created the perfect opportunity for this school to happen.” Shea Fouchek had this to say, “For me, it was a pleasure to have such a great group to teach at my first Lone Star track event of the year. Personally as an instructor there is no greater feeling than to see my students improve and see progress. It’s all about the development of skills for each individual on the racetrack. It’s a privilege to be a part of the journey of each and every student. The smiles at the end of the day say it all. It’s my way of giving back to the sport.” For additional information, pricing, complete schedule of events, or to sign up, contact Lone Star Track Days 713-504-5675, or visit their website, www.LSTD.com.
