Since 2001, LSTD has enabled riders and racers of all skill levels access to road racing courses across Texas. LSTD offers Friday events that preclude the weekend Central Motorcycle Road Racing Association races as well as Saturday-Sunday events. Friday events consist of up to 3 groups for licensed road racers, an intermediate street group for fast paced street riders as well as riders wishing to obtain their CMRA racing license. The 3 racer groups are broken into Expert, Novice, and Mini/Ultra Lightweight depending on the CMRA weekends schedule. During the lunch break at each Friday event LSTD offers a free Junior Motard practice allowing the younger riders an additional opportunity for much needed track time. On the Saturday-Sunday events LSTD offers 3 rider groups consisting of Advanced, Intermediate, and Beginner levels. Besides offering a regular track day program LSTD also offers 3 levels of riding schools. The LSTD beginner riders training program, its advanced riders training program as well as the CMRA racing license school.
Along with these programs we are pleased to announce the addition of the Ty Howard-Typhoon Road Racing Academy. Ty has spent more than 30 years racing motorcycles and is a recent inductee into the CMRA Hall of Fame. Ty brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with his years in the AMA, WERA, CMRA and AMA Professional Dirt Track where Ty has set 13 track records across the US.
Another exciting change for 2014 will be the addition of Race Tire Service as the LSTD track side support partner providing Dunlop motorcycle tires at all of the track day events. Dunlop USA and RTS will sponsor LSTD Racing in the CMRA Big Bike Endurance Series as well as the newly announced US National Endurance Series which is a joint effort between WERA and the CMRA. LSTD #4 will run both series on Dunlops successful N-Tech Superbike slicks.
