Round-by-round review of Cardenas’ remarkable 2012 championship season Martin Cardenas and his Team Hammer crew took their GEICO Suzuki GSX-R600 to the champion’s podium in the GoPro Daytona SportsBike class with a remarkable eight victories and 13 podium finishes in 19 starts. The team’s eight wins were the most in the class this year and second most in class history, behind the nine Cardenas won in 2010. Overall, Cardenas now has a class-leading 24 victories and already has cemented his championship pedigree in the GEICO Motorcycle AMA Road Racing Series.
