Jorge Lorenzo’s Fiat Yamaha M1 is carrying a special ‘Lorenzo’s Lands’ livery this weekend, for the final Grand Prix of the 2008 season at Valencia in Spain. The livery is the result of an initiative between the team’s title sponsor Fiat Automobiles Spa and the Italian magazine ‘Sportweek.’ A competition was launched at the start of the season in which the public were invited to submit their own designs for the bike. Named ‘Lorenzo’s Lands’, the winning design incorporates the flags of all 14 countries in which the young Spaniard has celebrated a victory during his career in the 125, 250 and MotoGP World Championships, as well as his own ‘Lorenzo’s Land’ flag. Lorenzo will run the livery throughout this weekend as he aims to close out his opening MotoGP season as the year’s leading rookie.
