March 5, 2010, Denver, CO M1 Entertainment has announced today that the Big Kahuna Nationals will bring to a close 10 years of what has been one of the most successful AMA Superbike events in history. M1 Entertainment was unable to reach a new agreement with VIR to continue promoting our event. Over the years, the Big Kahuna continued to break attendance records, showing what a strong following of Big Kahuna fans there are, which was born in Braselton, GA at Road Atlanta in 1998 and moved in 2005 to Alton, VA at VIRginia International Raceway. The Big Kahuna Nationals set new precedence for what a motorcycle race should be, offering not only a motorcycle race but also focusing on family fun entertainment and growing the industry from the ground up. Based on the current economic crunch, M1 Entertainment will like to take this time to seek out new and innovate ways to engage with our customers so that we can continue our relationship together in the future. Please check our websites, www.Moto1USA.com and www.AMABigKahuna.com as we will have updated information regarding the future of the Big Kahuna and any other events M1 may be involved with. M1 Entertainment extends our deepest gratitude to our amazing fans, our two host tracks, Road Atlanta and VIR and especially to all our sponsors who helped make the Big Kahuna Nationals such a great event. “It is a really sad day for us here at M1 Entertainment. We truly have a strong passion for the sport and will beyond doubt miss promoting the Big Kahuna Nationals in 2010. We fully intend to bring the Big Kahuna Nationals back to the AMA series in the future. Thanks again to the amazing fans, sponsors, volunteers and facilities that have helped us put on a world-class event.” Cameron Gray, CEO “It has been a great run for the past 10 years. We could not have done this without our long list of sponsors and the amazing Big Kahuna fans. Please check the website often as we are currently exploring new ventures in this industry we have such a strong passion for. Aloha for now!” – I-San Hung, Managing Partner
