DENVER, Colo. – Fans attending the Big Kahuna Atlanta will be kept up to speed throughout the weekend by veteran AMA Pro Road Racing announcers Barry Boone and Brian Drebber. The duo will be joined by Danielle Teal, who will provide comprehensive trackside coverage and rider interviews from the pits. “I’m very excited about this new three-person announcing team,” said Cameron Gray, CEO of M1 PowerSports. “Barry and Brian have entertained our crowds at Big Kahuna events in the past, and now with the addition of Danielle, fans won’t miss a thing.” Boone, who will be attending every round of AMA Pro Road Racing action in 2012 to keep fans up to date about the on-track action and off-track drama, is no stranger to the Big Kahuna. He was the lead announcer for Big Kahuna events at Virginia International Raceway for two consecutive years. “I know I speak for everyone at AMA Pro Racing when I say that we are all very excited to be working with M1 PowerSports again,” Boone said. “I’m extremely excited about the return of the Big Kahuna to Atlanta. The fans are really going to react positively to the return of the Big Kahuna to where it all started and I’m looking forward to being a member of being a really crack team on the PA staff.” Drebber has been involved with the Big Kahuna since the inaugural M1 PowerSports event held at Road Atlanta in 2004, calling races both from the booth as a TV commentator for SPEED and as an at-track announcer. His intimate knowledge of the sport and familiarity with Road Atlanta mean that fans attending the Big Kahuna Atlanta will get exactly the type of coverage they remember from previous M1 events. “Road Atlanta holds a special place in my heart because it’s where it all began,” Drebber said. “M1 PowerSports knows how to put on a great show and I’m very happy to be involved with the Big Kahuna once again.” The latest addition to the Big Kahuna announcing staff, Teal has a long involvement in motorcycle road racing and a deep understanding of the sport. Her charming style, quick wit and personal connection with the riders ensure that her reports from the pits will give fans up-to-the-minute insight that they’ve never had before. “I’m looking forward to joining the announcing staff and providing fans with insider information about the event throughout the weekend,” Teal said. “I’m also excited that Road Atlanta is back on the circuit, as it happens to be my home track. The event is always a lot of fun and the racers love it too. I love the sport and the family that I’ve made over the years and can’t wait to get back to the track!” Tickets for the Big Kahuna Atlanta begin at just $20 and entertainment offerings are being added to the schedule by the day.
