DENVER, Colo. (July 4, 2012) – Danny Eslick is just about as American as they come. Hailing from the Heartland, this 26-year-old Oklahoman proudly represents the red, white and blue on the only American-made motorcycle in AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike, the EBR 1190RS. Read on to hear Danny Eslick’s Four Thoughts on July Fourth: Q: How have you been celebrating being an American for the Fourth of July? A: Our Founding Fathers gave us the right to bear arms and it’s an American pastime for us to shoot our guns, so I went and shot at my mom’s house the other day. I was shooting my 50 caliber at some explosive targets, and I blew out a window in my van and blew out a window on her house. The concussion of it just shattered the window; it was actually my old bedroom window. This was two days ago… it blew like a three-foot hole in the ground! For the Fourth, I’m probably going to head down to Grand Lake during the day and then I’ll go watch the fireworks show. I’ve already watched one of them. There are several big fireworks shows in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so no matter what; I’ll be catching another one. Q: What’s your favorite Fourth of July memory that involves fireworks? A: I got a good one just from this year. I was making a little sparkler bomb, I lit it and was running away from it, because it makes a pretty good boom. I was getting away from it, and I made it right to the edge of my grass, tripped and fell and landed on the concrete. It was classic, it was pretty classic. Q: How does it feel to represent the only American brand in AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike? A: God, it’s awesome. As everybody knows I was with another manufacturer for a lot of my career so to be on an American bike is a big deal, it’s a big deal. For me, being a country boy from Oklahoma, I’ve got my beliefs and love for this country. The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays and it’s nice to be riding an American bike on this one. Q: Anything you’d like to say to the Armed Forces today? A: Without the armed forces, all of the men and women fighting for our country and freedom… they give us the ability to do what we like to do. It’s a real eye opener, I just saw some friends that I went to high school with that I haven’t seen in a while… I’ve been racing motorcycles for the past 10 years, and these guys have been out getting shot at in Iraq and Afghanistan. If it wasn’t for people like that, that fight for our country and for our freedom, we as Americans wouldn’t be able to do the things we all love. Hats off to everybody that defends our country.
