For the selected rider(s), gear will be provided head to toe as well as a motorcycle to train on and eventually race. WHO IT’S FOR: This program is for young riders ages 6-14 who have a desire to get into the sport of motorcycle road racing, but whose parents may not have the financial means necessary for the equipment. This program is NOT for parents with the financial means to purchase equipment and gear. The ideal candidate will be: ~a boy or girl who is physically able to work the standard controls of a motorcycle. ~at least have a moderate physical fitness level being able to lift 30lbs min. ~English speaking (moderate and higher) ~a currently enrolled student with at least a B average in an accredited school. This program will be offered to the candidate(s) on a event by event basis. M1GP may terminate or extend the program with any candidate at any time at the discretion of the M1GP GREEN FLAG committee. This program is open to children of all ethnic backgrounds and religions. WHERE IT HAPPENS: M1GP has events at two premier racing circuits for mini road racing Willow Springs International Raceway Kart Track (Rosamond, CA.) and Grange Motor Circuit (Apple Valley, CA). WHEN: THE GREEN FLAG program will be held on practice days (usually Saturdays) with those involved with the program. Other practice days may become available throughout the season. M1GP Mini Road Racing is the NOW & FUTURE of the sport of motorcycle road racing. M1GP’s GREEN FLAG program is an opportunity for companies to help youngsters experience this great sport at the very base of grass-roots level racing. At this level of mini road racing, it’s very much like Little League baseball…where equipment companies can help support the kids as well as expose their brand. A “win/win”.
