MacConaghy Wins Two WMRRA Races, Breaks Track Record At Pacific Raceways

Mike MacConaghy broke the motorcycle lap record for Pacific Raceways during a WMRRA Open Supersport race May 9 2009. MacConaphy’s lap time of 1:24:713 on his 2008 Suzuki GSX-R1000 eclipsed the previous record of 1:24:917 Mike Sullivan set August 10, 2008. MacConaghy went on to win the Open Supersport race, securing his first expert race road racing win. On Sunday, May 10, 2009 MacConaghy re-broke his owne record with a time of 1:24.451 during WMRRA’s premier race, Formula Ultra. MacConaghy went on to win the Formula Ultra race by a 6.8 seconds ahead of former WMRRA Champion Eli Edwards. All times were recorded by an AMB electronic timing system and are certified correct by WMRRA scoring officials.
