Mamola To Appear In Northern California At Fundraiser For Riders For Health

Redwood City, CA. MDK Motorsports will host an open house fund raising day on Saturday June 27th, 2009 to benefit Riders for Health, the international non-profit organization that uses motorcycles to save lives in African countries. Riders for Health co-founder, Grand Prix legend, and Bay Area native, Randy Mamola will be on hand to chat with fans, sign autographs and tell the Riders for Health story. Hot off his first podium in the Spanish 125cc championship, Randy’s son, Dakota, will also be there so don’t miss this rare opportunity to meet the Mamola champion of the future. Local Pros will be on hand as well, including, leading AFM female, Elena Myers, and NorCal AMA Superbike pro, Chris Siebenhaar. The event opens at noon. Following a lunchtime barbeque there will be a raffle, live auction and silent auction giving attendees the chance to win over $3,000 worth of prizes. The raffle prizes include: road racing gear, motocross gear, Flip MinoHD camcorders with customized moto design, DVDs of “Faster” and “The Doctor, The Tornado and The Kentucky Kid”, and helmets and jerseys. The silent auction prizes include: Valentino Rossi autographed poster, additional autographed items including posters and riding gear, and so much more. “It’s inspiring to see such enthusiasm and support from the motorcycling community at a regional level.
