EXCITING NEWS AND UPCOMING RACE EVENT! WERA Motorcycle Roadracing is proud to announce that Marietta Motorsports has come on board as the “Presents” sponsor of the WERA Sportsman Series Southeast Region. WERA’s CEO, Evelyne Clarke, speaking of Marietta Motorsports and owner Craig “Huey” Stewart, “To have Huey and his shop come on board as a sponsor in the Region where he races and has his business makes all the sense in the world. Huey is well known in the racing community and we look forward to having Marietta Motorsports as the presenting sponsor for the WERA Sportsman Series Southeast Region.” “WERA has always felt like home to me at the track,” said Craig “Huey” Stewart. “This organization was my first introduction to motorcycle racing and I’ve always loved the fellowship and family atmosphere. It’s only natural that we’d love to support more racers, both at the shop and at the track!” Round #1 of the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series kicks off at Roebling Road in Faulkville, GA on March 15/15/17. WERA will host a practice on Friday and on Saturday we have a Rider’s School and also a round of the WERA Sportsman Series presented by Marietta Motorsports and featuring the Integrity RV Senior Superbike Class, along with all the other Sportsman Sprint Classes. On Sunday Round #1 of the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series will take to the track with 13 races on the schedule starting at noon. The Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series is WERA’s Pro-Am Series where riders develop their skills and build their resume in preparation of making the move to Pro Racing! WERA Motorcycle Roadracing was founded in 1973 and remains the foremost place to develop talent in the sport of motorcycle Roadracing. The legacy of Pro riders on a National and World level is legendary. All events are run by WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and they go coast to coast offering entry level racing with the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series as well as a Pro-Am Series with the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series which includes the only traveling Endurance Series in the US using the World Endurance platform for most of the rules.
