Day One of a two-day, action-packed, twin-sprint weekend with CCS, USGPRU, and the ASRA Team Challenge at Carolina Motorsports Park included 16 races, 41 classes, and two qualifying sessions.

On Saturday, Ryan Kerr won the first of the Expert Unlimited Grand Prix races on his Suzuki GSX-R1000 after taking over the lead from Suzuki GSX-R1000-mounted, early front-runner Tony Leong. By lap two, Timothy Bemisderfer was in second place on his Suzuki GSX-R1000 and hunting down the leader, but Kerr started to open a gap on the rest of the field and won the race. Timothy Bemisderfer finished second with Tony Leong, Kiurys Martinez, and Eric Helmbach rounding off the top five.

Mark Miller, Jr., was the winningest racer of the entire weekend with eight first-place finishes. He won the GTU, Middleweight Superbike, Middleweight Grand Prix (twice), Heavyweight Superbike (twice), Middleweight Supersport, and Heavyweight Supersport. Jon Glaefke was not far behind with four victories. Glaefke won the GT Lights, Lightweight Grand Prix, Lightweight Superbike, and Lightweight Formula 40 classes.

In the Amateur ranks, Tommy Wilson racked up a whopping five victories in GT Lights, Lightweight Supersport, Lightweight Grand Prix, Ultralight Superbike, and Thunderbike.

Anthony Mazziotto, III qualified with the fastest times in both the USGPRU qualifying sessions with a time of 1:44.864 in the Moto3 class, and a 1:43.106 in the 250cc GP class.

On Day Two, Sunday’s sprint races were even more action packed with Jason Farrell taking home the victory in that day’s Unlimited Grand Prix class after battling with the previous day’s front-runner Ryan Kerr. Kerr had nailed the holeshot and taken the top spot in the first lap, with Farrell using his Kawasaki ZX-10R to claim the lead in the second lap and hold on to it until the checkered flag. Kerr finished second, with Timothy Bemisderfer, Tony Leong, and Arnold Hastings rounding off the top five.

Anthony Mazziotto, III took an early lead in the USGPRU Moto3 class on his Moriwaki MD250H and led the race from start to finish. Behind him Stu Aitken-Cade and Adrian Jasso were battling for second and unable to catch the early race leader. Mazziotto claimed the victory. And, in the 250cc GP class, Adrian Jasso was able to get through traffic on his Yamaha TZ250 and finish ahead of the rest of the field.

Team Performance Speed, with Jason Farrell and Calvin Martinez on board a Kawasaki ZX-10R, won the ASRA Team Challenge GTO and finished first overall after completing 65 laps in the endurance event. Chester Auto Repair and RnR Repsol Racing finished second and third, respectively, also completing the entire 65-lap event. SATURDAY
