Ducati and Jeckerson join up for the 2005 MotoGP Championship. The two Bologna-based companies have signed an agreement for the 2005 season for the supply of clothing for the MotoGP team. “We are extremely pleased with this agreement” commented Franco Stocchi, entrepreneur and owner of the Fashion Time company, which includes the Jeckerson brand. “It has always been a dream of mine to be able to collaborate with a legendary name from the two-wheeled world and it is also fitting that two companies with their heart and roots in Bologna should get together to develop a winning project. Ducati is a company that is famous throughout the world, technologically avant-guard and with solid traditions, as demonstrated by the latest performances by its racing team”. Jeckerson, a renowned brand in the sportswear sector, has over the years shown that it is capable of being one of the ‘front-runners’, after recording an increase in turnover from 15.5 million Euro in 2002 to 34 million Euro forecast for this year. “We are really proud to be able to collaborate with such a young and trendy brand as Jeckerson” declared Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Corse Managing Director. “I am sure that, given our common roots and the great passion that runs through both our companies, the project that gets underway today will provide great satisfaction for all of us”. The collaboration between the two companies is not merely limited to the supply of clothing for the MotoGP team, but it also includes a series of special ‘limited edition’ products that will be distributed in the main clothing sales outlets throughout the world.
