FIRST PERSON/OPINION

Via-e-mail:

Hello Everyone!

I am organizing a charity calendar to benefit the Roadracing World Action Fund. I am looking for 12 industry companies to donate $1000 each to cover the printing and advertising costs to produce 1000 calendars which we will sell for $10 each and donate 100% of the gross proceeds to the Roadracing World Action Fund. The goal will be to net an excess of $10,000, for the fund which will procure another 120 feet of wall protection for racers.

If you participate, you will have an 8 ½ x 11 area for a photo of a racer you sponsor or products you sell. Your contact info will be included in the calendar.

The Roadracing World Action Fund had deemed this to be their “official authorized calendar”, and will handle the distribution/sales of the calendars.

Fernando Peris, father of racer Chris Peris and owner of Topline Printing is going to provide all productions costs for free, and give us a deeply discounted price on printing the calendars, and has even volunteered to take January as his company’s month (since I have let this project fall behind schedule!).

So far, the following companies have joined the program:

Traxxion Dynamics Featuring Shawn Higbee
Walt Shaefer Cycle Supply/ Michelin Featuring Army of Darkness
Topline Printing Featuring Chris Peris
GP Tech, LLC Featuring Ty Howard
Kneedraggers.com Featuring Matt Wait
Pitbull Motorcycle Stands Featuring Opie Caylor
Sum of All Parts Featuring Ben Thompson
Race Tire Services Featuring Mat Mladin
CFM Motorsports Featuring Eric Wood

We have three spots left, but if we have enough demand, we will consider making this a “15 month” calendar. Interested parties need to contact me asap via email, [email protected]

Calendars will be available for sale at www.roadracingworld.com and other outlets to be announced.

Here’s to hoping no racers meet up with unprotected walls in 2005!

Sincerely,
Max McAllister
President
