MCE INSURANCE EXTENDS TITLE SPONSORSHIP OF BRITISH SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP MotorSport Vision (MSV), the commercial and media rights holder of the British Superbike Championship (BSB), is delighted to announce a five year title sponsorship extension with MCE Insurance, making it the longest continuous partnership of its kind in motorcycle racing history. MCE is an independent UK-based insurance broker, specialising in and recognised as the number one provider of motorcycle insurance. The new extended five year contract will see the Northamptonshire-based company continue to utilise Britain’s biggest motorsport championship as a platform to further enhance their business development. MCE Insurance’s title sponsorship of the championship began in 2009. Activation rights include significant branding of BSB events and assets as well as the ability to offer unrivalled benefits and experiences for their policy holders at each of the 12 championship rounds held annually. MCE Insurance Group Chief Executive Julian Edwards believes the established partnership with MSV will continue to provide a strong platform for further market growth. He commented: “MCE and BSB is a fantastic fit: the UK’s number one motorcycle insurer and the UK’s number one motorsport series, so it was an easy decision to extend our title sponsorship way into the future. We’ve had an exceptional first four years partnering with MSV, particularly with the superb BSB experiences we’ve been able to provide to MCE customers. We will be unveiling a range of exciting plans for MCE Insurance in the future and the BSB platform is the perfect place to promote these.” MCE BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs said: “Extending the title sponsorship to nine consecutive years demonstrates the strength of our relationship with the team at MCE Insurance and the significant exposure and value it delivers to their organisation and customers. It is also another example of the confidence being shown in a championship that boasts stable technical rules for the teams, long term television broadcast contracts, a great mix of circuits and above all a brilliant, growing legion of fans who are experiencing some of the best racing seen anywhere in the world.” The final round of the 2012 MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship takes place at Brands Hatch circuit this weekend (12/13/14 October). Six riders representing five of the world’s leading motorcycle manufacturers are in contention for the title, which will be decided at the triple-header event.
