American Melissa Paris is scheduled to compete in two International endurance races in July: the 24 Hours of Catalunya July 10-12 at Circuit de Barcelona – Catalunya in Spain and the Suzuka 4 Hours July 23-26 at Suzuka Circuit in Japan.
In Spain, Paris will ride as part of the Girls Racing Team, which was created in 2013 by Muriel Simorre of France.
Girls Racing Team’s Simorre, Jolanda van Westrenen of the Netherlands, Amandine Creusot of France, and Kat Zimpel of America took Girls Racing Team to second in the Superstock 600 class at the 2014 24 Hours of Catalunya.
In 2015, Girls Racing Team will include Creusot, Paris, Simorre and van Westrenen riding a Yamaha YZF-R6 again in the Superstock 600 class.
In the Suzuka 4 Hours, a support race for the Suzuka 8 Hours classic, Paris will once again team with American Shelina Moreda on a Synergy Force Honda CBR600RR prepared by Moriwaki Engineering, an effort coordinated by Moriwaki Engineering’s Midori Moriwaki and the FIM Women in Motorcycling program. Moreda and Paris finished 28th out of 69 entries in the 2014 Suzuka 4 Hours.
