Stefano Mesa was the biggest winner of the CCS Florida season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway with seven wins, including the Unlimited Grand Prix class, and brought home the number one plate for the 2015 season.
ZX-10R and settled into third.
“They were going at it,” Sean Dwyer said after the race. “It was fun to watch. I wanted to get up there with them, but it just wasn’t happening today. But, we know what to fix. I’m going to get it right in the off season and we’ll have something for them next year. Props to Bruno. He really took it to Mesa in that race.
“The race was amazing,” exclaimed Silva. I had a lot of battles with Stefano. A lot of passes. It was a fun race.” Silva thanked God and his family for all their support. “They really help me out, they’re always with me,” he stated, and went on to thank Pirelli Tire, “for their amazing tires,” and Eric Gray from GMD Computrack Fort Lauderdale, “for race setting my bike to the best that I can ride.”
On the podium, Mesa said, “I just put my head down the last race and I was actually trying to gap them, but I kept hearing a lot of bikes behind me. I was like, ‘It’s either Sean or Bruno, and I know they’re going to pass me. I know they’re going to pass me.’ So I was trying to keep my corner speed up and trying to get my lines right. And, I’ve got to practice a little bit on my brakes. Because Bruno’s definitely way harder on the brakes going into (turn) eight. He passed me a couple of times. I was like, ‘Oop, he’s going to miss it, he’s going to miss it. He’s going to crash. And he was like, oop there he goes. And, I was like, ‘Damn. Really?’ But it was really a good race. Fun battles. Everybody was riding top notch.
“The bikes have been great right off the bat,”
He thanked his team, Westside Performance, his family, CCS racing, Dunlop Tires, and Shoei Helmets. “Thanks for all the help we get from everybody,”
