Mid-Illini Motorsports Returning To AMA MotoGT Series In 2009

Team Mid-Illini Motorsports is proud to announce the signing of Gene Bircham, Alan Federson, Mitch Stein, Kenny Rodriguez, Trey Yonce, and Brad Zajic to the team for the 2009 AMA MotoGT season. They bring many years of experience and talent to the team. “We are very pleased to have our riders from last year eager to return to the team again this year.” says Deanna Stein, Team MIM owner. “It was a close competion last year in the Moto-ST’s ST class and we embrace the challange of competing with the best endurance teams again this year.” Team MIM will be contesting the AMA MotoGT2 series in the 2009 season. Mr Rodriguez and Mitch Stein will be instrumental in the success of the race team. Team MIM would also like to give thanks to the following sponsors: Repsol, Snug Harbor/Puma (Norm Fraijo), Maui Jim Sunglasses, All Balls Racing, Leo Vince Exhaust, Pit Bull, Regina Chain, Born Paint (Pat Berres & Ray Linson), Hoerr Race Products, EBC Brakes, Travco Motorsports, Iowa City Motorsports, and Kegley Machine for all their support during the 2008 and continued support for 2009. Team MIM would also like to thank all of the volunteer crew and supporting staff for their hardwork and dedication to make the 2008 season a successful one. MIM/Repsol finished the Daytona 8 hour finale endurance race in 4th and 5th in class and 5th and 6th in the season’s overall standings for the 2008 Suntrust MotoST race series on their 2 Suzuki SV650s. Team MIM is looking forward to the 2009 season with dedication and determination towards a podium season finish.
