AUSTIN, Texas (Apr. 10) — Kyle Wyman Racing (KWR) announced today that the Millennium Technologies family of companies will return as title sponsor for KWR racing efforts in the 2015 AMA/FIM MotoAmerica Road Racing series. KWR will field three riders in the Supersport and Superstock 600 classes in 2015.
Kyle Wyman will be the lead rider in the Supersport category on the #33 Millennium Technologies/KWR Yamaha YZF-R6. KWR will also field brothers Travis and Cody Wyman in the Superstock 600 championship, aboard #24 and #11 machines, respectively. The three Wyman brothers have grown racing together since 1998 and 2015 will reunite all three brothers under one canopy for the first time since 2010.
“Over the past four seasons I’ve been working hard to build my own program, and Millennium Technologies has been a massive part of the growth and success we have enjoyed,” said Kyle Wyman, owner of KWR. “With the new series and the return of Millennium Technologies as title sponsor, we are all excited to continue our relationship and expand the support through the Wyman family. I want to thank everybody who is involved in this program, and I’m pumped that we were all able to come together for 2015.
“Millennium Technologies is the recognized leader in high-tech powersports engine machining, including cylinder and cylinder head services. The family of companies also includes brands like Ballistic Performance Components, a manufacturer of lightweight Lithium-Ion batteries, and Revolution Performance, a manufacturer of bolt-on big-bore kits for Harley-Davidson motorcycles,” Wyman added. “Millennium has been a dedicated supporter of road racing in America for almost 17 years and I am proud to be able to represent their company in the new MotoAmerica series.”
“Motorcycle road racing is part of our DNA at Millennium Technologies and we are extremely excited about supporting KWR in the new MotoAmerica series,” said Chip Spalding, Motorsports Marketing Coordinator for Millennium Technologies family of companies. “Kyle Wyman is a talented rider and a smart business man. We are very fortunate to have such an amazing partner in this new dawn of American road racing.”
The Superstock 600 series kicks off in two-week’s time at Road Atlanta, for the MotoAmerica Honda Superbike Championship of Atlanta on April 17-19, 2015. KWR is proud to announce that both Travis and Cody Wyman will be competing on Millennium Technologies sponsored Yamaha YZF-R6’s. Travis Wyman is a former winner in AMA Pro Supersport, and Cody plans to contend for podiums in the Superstock 600 category.
“Firstly I am extremely happy to be back on a Yamaha R6,” Travis said. “I’ve taken the last year or so to really enhance my own riding ability, and I’m more than excited to be getting the family back together at the track. I can’t thank Kyle enough for giving me this opportunity and I am looking to have a great year.”
Cody, the youngest of the Wyman family, is equally excited.
“I am so thankful for the opportunity to race in the new MotoAmerica series along side my two brothers,” Cody added. “Kyle has put in a lot of time building this program and it’s a great feeling coming together with the whole family. Road Atlanta is one of my favorite tracks and I’m ecstatic to have it back on the schedule this year. I am looking forward to a very exciting 2015 season.”
