Miller Motorsports Park CEO and General Manager Alan Wilson said this afternoon that he doesn’t have any details concerning a U.S. Superbike League and that he had attempted to get MIC Series advocate (and American Honda Senior Vice President) Ray Blank and DMG President Roger Edmondson to meet at the Indy U.S. GP this weekend. “The only thing I’ve heard is an e-mail I got from (Road America’s) George Bruggenthies a couple hours ago that he expected an announcement regarding the U.S. Superbike League. “He sent the e-mail addressed to all members of the RRIC (Road Race Industry Council) and said that he understood that there will be an announcement about a new series with a new corporation supporting the series. “I went back to him about 15 minutes ago and I’ve heard nothing. “From our track point of view we’ve tried to push very hard for them to come together. Two weeks ago I sat with Roger (Edmondson) at New Jersey and asked if he would be willing to meet with Ray Blank and he said yes. Then I e-mailed Ray and asked if he would meet with Roger and he said yes. So they were going to meet at Indy, so we held out hope that something could come of it.”
