Hope all of you enjoyed a great Christmas Holiday with family and friends! Now we are onto a new year which we certainly hope is better than 2008! A Happy New Year to all of you! The first Fastrack Riders event of 2009 is this Saturday, January 3rd at Auto Club Speedway on the AMA Track. This is the day before the first WERA West event of 2009. Fastrack Riders will run two race groups since the signups for the Racer’s Groups are a little light compared to last January’s pre WERA West event. Fastrack will run one Level 2 group that will be for street riders only. NO racers will be allowed in Level 2! We are close to sell out in all levels for this event so if you are planning on attending and have not signed up yet you need to register ASAP to insure you get a spot. Register at www.fastrackriders.com or call 877-560-2233 We will have overnight camping for this event. You can get into the track after 4:00 pm on Friday 1-2-09. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT! All riders under eighteen (18) years of age will be required to submit proof that they are a minimum of twelve years of age! Our insurance carrier has cracked down and is asking us to verify the age of any rider under eighteen years of age. Fastrack Riders will require a birth certificate, passport or some other valid proof of their age or the rider will not be allowed to ride! EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY! Any rider that is under the legal age of eighteen must have a parent or legal guardian there at the track to sign a minor’s release form along with proof of what age they are. The insurance carrier for Fastrack Riders is requiring us to confirm that any rider under 18 is riding the proper size motorcycle they are approved to ride. The insurance rule is as follows: 12 & 13 years old can only ride a 125 14 & 15 years old can ride either a 125 or 250 machine 16 or older can ride a 600 and above displacement motorcycle! We understand that WERA’s age requirements are different than Fastrack Riders which is only because we have different insurance carriers.
