Competitor’s Bulletin #2006-01 To: All MOTO-ST Competitors Date: October 5, 2006 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Changes to the 2006/2007 MOTO-ST Sporting Regulations SPORTING REGULATIONS SP-8-11 Testing Section 8-11 (change as follows) Competitors may not test at a race facility within two weeks of an Event at that facility, unless such testing is open to all Competitors. (Remove remaining wording) SP-9-5 Pit Lane Regulations Section 9-5.8.f (change as follows) No electric or potential spark producing tools are permitted in the pits. No hydraulic or pneumatic tools are permitted in the pits. Battery operated tools are permitted. Section 9-5.8.h (add) Separate front and rear stands must be used in the pits any time both wheels of the motorcycle are not on the ground. The use of electricity, air pressure, or hydraulics to lift the machine is prohibited. Technical Bulletin #2006-02 To: All MOTO-ST Competitors Date: October 5, 2006 Effective Date: Immediately Subject: Changes and additions to the 2006/2007 MOTO-ST Equipment and Sporting Regulations EQUIPMENT REGULATIONS EQ-5 Universal Motorcycle Technical Requirements Section 5-31-1 (add) For BMW motorcycles only, replacement of the stock rear wheel bolts with shouldered steel studs, with rolled threads, is permitted. Section 5-32 (change as follows) Original front forks must be retained, to include inner and outer tubes, caliper mounts, axles and spacers. Section 5-32-1 (change as follows) Modification to internal parts is permitted. Section 5-32-2 (change as follows) Substitution of springs, change of shims, needles, and/or spacers, addition of “Race Tech” kit/aftermarket type valving and/or complete cartridge kits is permitted. Section 5-32-7 (add) The use of gas-charged fork kits is not permitted. Section 5-44-1 (add) Quick-shifters (devices that cut ignition to smooth shifting) are permitted. The use of pneumatics to aid shifting is not permitted.
