Cory West earned himself a ticket to the Superpole and a second-row start on the American Superbike grid in his first visit to New Jersey Motorsports Park and riding the Buell 1125RR for only the second time. He rewarded himself and his crew by finishing eighth in Superbike Race One and seventh place in Race Two. His performance had the old guard saying the same kind of thing they did when Danny Eslick beat Jamie Hacking for the first time at Fontana–that Cory West isn’t good enough to be in Superpole and racing the established stars!
