Monster Yamaha Tech 3 Team duo Colin Edwards and Ben Spies will contest this weekend’s Italian MotoGP race at the spectacular Mugello circuit with a new a LeoVince exhaust silencer fitted to their YZR-M1 machines. Team boss Herve Poncharal is delighted to announce the new technical partnership that will see Edwards and Spies use a new silencer designed with LeoVince’s renowned expertise from the fourth round of the 2010 world championship onwards. The new silencer is designed to maintain performance while offering weight reduction by reducing the total dimensions with a specially designed external sleeve. The collaboration has been made possible thanks to the long-standing and close relationship that the French-based Tech 3 squad has forged for over a decade with Yamaha Motor Japan. It is thanks to the mutual trust between Tech 3 and Yamaha that the team can embark on this exciting new technical project, which rewards the tremendous effort and hard work by LeoVince to be part of the cutting-edge prototype development arena in MotoGP. LeoVince also supplies the exhausts for the Tech 3 Racing Moto2 project that was designed and developed by Poncharal’s squad for the 2010 season. LeoVince is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of aftermarket exhaust systems and is part of the Sito Gruppo Industriale S.p.A, which has been involved in the development and production of high quality aftermarket exhausts for motorcycles since 1954.
