Round 7 of 7 of Spanish 1000cc Extreme National Championship Saturday, 15 November 2008 Noyes on Front Row for Spanish 1000 Extreme Final Spanish-born American Kenny Noyes will start fourth off the front row in the final round of the Spanish 1000cc Extreme Championship tomorrow in Jerez de la Frontera. Europe’s only unresolved national championship battle will be settled tomorrow when Carmelo Morales (L´Oreal Yamaha) takes his 10 point lead in Spanish 1000cc Extreme to the line against former champion José Luis Cardoso (Blussens Suzuki) and Morales´ team mate Javier del Amor. Cardoso and del Amor are tied with 100 points, creating a complicated scenario, and one that is likely to be complicated by American Kenny Noyes and Xavier Fores (D´Antin Kawasaki) who starts second. There are no team orders of any kind. Noyes, who rides for Motorrad Suzuki out of Madrid and Cardoso who rides for Blussens BQR Suzuki out of Barcelona crossed the line handlebar to handlebar in their battle for third a week ago in Valencia with Cardoso getting the verdict and keeping his slim title hopes alive. “The last time I was here,” said Noyes, “was just before I had compartment syndrome surgery and I couldn’t hold the pace at the end and finished fifth, but this time we’ve got a good pace and the fact that we come onto the long back straight out of a fast corner means that we should be able to make up for a slight disadvantage in top speed. This is my favorite track and a great chance to end the season strong.” Noyes´ Motorrad Suzuki team mate Sergio Fuertes will start 16th and in the Supersport Motorrad rider Arturo Tizón and will start fourth. The Supersport Championship has already been won by Angel Rodriguez (L´Oreal Yamaha) who will start from pole tomorrow. Top Qualifiers Spanish 1000cc Extreme 1.
