Team Klaffi Honda took part in the official test at Valencia from March 27th to 29th. After three days in Spain Team Manager Klaus Klaffenböck summed up the results: “We did not come to Valencia to chase some extreme fast lap times. But we passed three tough days working a lot. We focused on the perfect setting of the Klaffi Honda Fireblade for the race. Our program was a challenge for the whole crew. But we performed this task very well. The only negative incidence of the three days was the crash of Alex at the end of the first day. He had a lot of good luck that he was not injured. But it was real big crash with a total loss of the bike. Alex used normal race tyres no qualifiers as most of the other riders did. His attention was to ride under conditions rather similar to those of a real race. At the end of the third day there was still time enough to simulate a race. Alex matched with his competitor Troy Bayliss. The result demonstrated how fast Alex is. After 22 laps Alex and Troy crossed the finishing line with nearly identical times. During the three days at Valencia we achieved a considerable progress. For the race at Valencia I expect an adequate good result.”
