Austin DeHaven gets a win at Auto Club Speedway Young gun Austin DeHaven took his first 600cc win in B Superstock this past weekend at Auto Club Speedway during the Wera West regional event aboard his Pirelli-shod, DD Racing-prepared Yamaha YZF-R6. Austin stepped up to the challenge as he took two 4th place finishes, a 2nd and the win with almost no practice or setup time at all. Due to insurance limitations on the Saturday practice organizers, Austin and all other youngsters riding 600cc or greater machines under 16 years old were not allowed to practice or prepare for the race on Sunday. They were required to tackle the challenging AMA course with only two 15-minute practice sessions. Thanks go out to WERA for making sure that two full rounds of practice rotations were in place due to this limitation. Austin would like to thank Motosport.com, Shift Racing leathers, KBC helmets, California Superbike School, CT Racing and Pirelli tires, Slednecks, and Hypercycle.
