CT Racing’s Riders Anthony and Pascarella Set The Pace At Las Vegas Classic Course CT Racing/Pirelli riders David Anthony and Joey Pascarella dominated both the Heavyweight and Middleweight Solo 20 grids on sunny, warm Saturday and the Formula 1 and B Superstock grids on a cold, windy Sunday at round 2 of the WERA West season January 29th and 30th at the Las Vegas Classic Course in Las Vegas, NV. David Anthony ran Pirelli’s new Diablo Superbike Slick 200/60/17 race tire on his Suzuki GSXR 1000, winning the Heavyweight Solo 20 race by 10 seconds on Saturday. On Sunday, he put up another fantastic performance and won Formula 1. Anthony had this to say, “I knew it would be about Jason DiSalvo this weekend. I had some great racing with him on Saturday. On Sunday, the leader crashed on the first lap of the Formula 1 race, gifting me the lead, and it was just a matter of staying on top after that. The track time to get ready for Daytona was very important, and I’m ready for March. Thanks to my team, ADR Fly Racing, CT Racing/Pirelli tires, Race Tech, and my crew for all the help this weekend.” Joey Pascarella ran the new Pirelli 120/180 DOT race tires on his Yamaha R6 and won the Middleweight Solo 20 race by 20 seconds on Saturday. On Sunday, he put up another win in B Superstock and took second in C Superstock. Pascarella said this, “Being out and racing this weekend was great. The competition level was very high, and it was really fun just racing with everybody. My tires and my bike felt great, and I’m very grateful to Corey and Chris from CT Racing and Jeff Liggett from Mach 1 for all their help getting ready for this weekend. I want to thank all my sponsors for their help, because without them, I wouldn’t be doing this: Mach 1 Motorsports, CT Racing/Pirelli, Shoei helmets, Shift leathers, TCX Boots, Full Spectrum battery, GPR, Factory Bodyworks, CRG, Leo Vince, Galfer, Spider grips, Zero Gravity, Shane at Off the Mark Creations, and my friends and family.” Corey Neuer of CT Racing/Pirelli had this to say, “It was a great weekend I love when David Anthony comes to do some club racing and the fact that he chooses Pirelli tires is great. I mounted up Pirelli’s all new Diablo Superbike slick and he put in some great laps coming from way behind to win and ran some very impresive lap times in cold and windy conditions. Joey Pascarella ran the 120/180 DOT’s and put up some great lap times as well, and I am very pleased with how well both he and the tires performed this weekend.” David Anthony’s next race will be at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, FL, March 11-12, 2011, for the AMA Pro Road Racing season opener. Joey Pascarella’s next race will be at Buttonwillow Raceway Park in Buttonwillow, CA, March 19-20, 2011, for the AFM season opener.
